La Petite Maison is stepping into new territory. This September, the internationally recognized hospitality group opens Le Café LPM — its first-ever standalone café concept — with an exclusive year-long residency at The Lanesborough, one of London’s most storied addresses.

It’s a departure from what LPM is known for. Rather than another restaurant carrying the brand’s signature Niçoise cooking into a new city, Le Café LPM is a reinterpretation: an all-day café built around coffee, pâtisserie, and the unhurried rituals of Riviera life. The idea is to capture the ease of a morning on the Côte d’Azur, and then let the room shift, as the day goes on, into something closer to a relaxed neighborhood spot for aperitifs and evening gatherings.

A café that changes shape through the day

The daytime menu leans into the kind of food you’d want lingering over: a burrata tartine with tomato and basil, a Croque Monsieur made with veal ham and Comté, a Caesar salad done LPM’s way.

As the evening approaches, the offering shifts toward shareable plates: tuna carpaccio with pickled almonds and truffle dressing, grilled octopus with paprika and chickpeas, crispy fried squid with saffron aioli, and a sirloin steak baguette served with gaufrette potatoes.

Dessert stays classic: crème caramel, and LPM’s dark chocolate mousse with sea salt. The pastry case will rotate seasonally, tied to London’s cultural calendar.

Why The Lanesborough, and why now

London gets Le Café LPM first, ahead of a permanent Dubai opening planned for later this year, making this residency a genuine first look at a concept the brand hasn’t shown anywhere else.

Set within The Lanesborough’s classic interiors, the café is designed to feel bright and unmistakably Riviera, without losing the polish that defines both the hotel and the LPM name.

For guests staying at The Lanesborough this year, it adds a reason to build unhurried time into the day. A coffee that turns into lunch, or a stop before dinner that turns into the evening itself. Given the residency’s limited run, I’d expect tables during the more social hours, particularly aperitif time, to fill up quickly once London takes notice.

One more reason to book The Lanesborough this year

Le Café LPM isn’t the only reason The Lanesborough is having a moment. The hotel’s Bridgerton Afternoon Tea continues to run in the Lanesborough Grill, so it’s entirely possible to work both into a single stay.
