One of London’s most storied landmarks is finally opening its doors to overnight guests. Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch, carved into the Grade I listed monument at the foot of The Mall, opens this fall, with reservations now available from March 2027.

A Building Steeped in History

Commissioned by King Edward VII in memory of Queen Victoria and designed by Sir Aston Webb, the architect behind Buckingham Palace’s façade, Admiralty Arch has served as London’s ceremonial gateway for over a century.

Developed by the Reuben Brothers in partnership with Hilton, the restoration spans 200,000 square feet at the ceremonial heart of the city, and represents one of the most ambitious heritage projects London has seen in years.

The Rooms & Suites

The hotel will offer 114 rooms, suites, and residences. More than half of the accommodation space is given over to expansive residential and signature suites, several named in tribute to the building’s naval history: the Nelson Suite, the St James’s Residence, and the Victory Residence, the last a nod to HMS Victory.

Dining: Eight Michelin Stars Between Two Restaurants

The hotel opens with two restaurants from chefs Clare Smyth and Daniel Boulud. Smyth’s Coreus, set within the former residence of the First Sea Lord, centers on sustainably sourced British seafood and produce, with the intimate Whiskey & Seaweed bar drawing inspiration from her signature potato and roe dish. On the rooftop, Boulud’s Café Boulud marks his return to London in an all-day format, with unobstructed views across St James’s Park and Buckingham Palace, arguably the best table in the city.

Worth Knowing

Following the revival of Waldorf Astoria New York, this opening marks a defining moment for the brand on this side of the Atlantic. Should you be seeking a London address that is genuinely unrepeatable, Admiralty Arch belongs on the shortlist.

Bookings

As someone who knows London’s hotel landscape intimately, I can say with confidence that the Waldorf Astoria London Admiralty Arch is unlike anything the city has seen before. I would love to help you secure your stay here.

As a preferred partner (via 360 Private Travel) through Hilton Impresario, my clients enjoy a suite of exclusive benefits including daily breakfast for two, a hotel credit to spend as you wish, and VIP status, advantages that simply aren’t available through a direct booking. If this extraordinary opening has caught your attention, do reach out; places like this deserve to be experienced properly.
