Luxury hospitality brand Raffles Hotels & Resorts has announced plans to open its first-ever alpine resort in the heart of Courchevel 1850, one of the world’s most prestigious ski destinations.
Scheduled to welcome guests for the 2028 winter season, the new property will bring the storied elegance of the Raffles name to the exclusive Jardin Alpin enclave in the French Alps.
Developed in partnership with Art de Vivre, the resort promises an intimate slopeside retreat set within Les Trois Vallées — the world’s largest interconnected ski area and a long-standing destination for discerning winter travelers.
An Intimate Alpine Escape
Designed by JMV with interiors by Humbert & Poyet, Raffles Courchevel will feature just 50 guestrooms and suites, emphasizing privacy, comfort, and highly personalized service. Many accommodations will include private balconies overlooking the Tarentaise Valley and surrounding alpine peaks.
The property’s location within Jardin Alpin places guests close to Courchevel 1850’s renowned dining, cultural, and social scene while still offering a refined sense of seclusion.
Dining, Wellness, and Elevated Experiences
Raffles Courchevel will introduce several dining concepts, including two destination restaurants, a signature bar, and an elegant tea lounge, all designed to showcase the beauty of the alpine setting through expansive terraces and winter gardens.
Wellness will also play a central role in the guest experience. The resort’s spa and recovery facilities will combine traditional alpine wellness rituals with longevity-focused therapies, alongside thermal experiences, fitness spaces, and a panoramic swimming pool.
Families traveling with children can also expect thoughtfully curated programming centered on nature, sport, and wellbeing — encouraging younger guests to experience the mountains through adventure and exploration.

Raffles Courchevel will mark the sixth European property for Raffles Hotels & Resorts, joining an impressive collection of destinations across the continent.
The portfolio currently includes Raffles London at The OWO, Le Royal Monceau – Raffles Paris, Raffles Europejski Warsaw, and Raffles Istanbul, while Raffles Lake Como is slated to debut in 2027. The addition of Courchevel further strengthens the brand’s growing luxury footprint in Europe’s most sought-after destinations.
