Mandarin Oriental’s First Mountain Hotel: Cristallo, Cortina

 

Set against the majestic peaks of the Dolomites, the new-to-open Mandarin Oriental Cristallo, Cortina, embodies the timeless elegance of Italy’s most iconic Alpine destination.

Opening in early 2027, it is Mandarin Oriental’s first hotel in the mountains. An extension of the brand into a landscape defined by peaks rather than beaches or city skylines.

A historic address, minutes from the center

The hotel sits just outside Cortina d’Ampezzo’s exclusive center, close enough for an easy walk into town yet set within its own alpine surroundings. The building carries genuine history, and the restoration blends its original character with a more contemporary sense of comfort.

The Hotel at a Glance

The hotel will offer 84 rooms and suites, many with sweeping views across the Alps. A signature restaurant and terrace will anchor the hotel’s dining, with modern Italian cooking served against the Dolomite backdrop. The spa is designed as a place to unwind after a day of skiing in winter or hiking the surrounding trails in summer.

A year-round mountain address

Winter brings some of Italy’s most celebrated skiing directly to the hotel’s doorstep, while summer opens onto scenic hiking through the same peaks.
