Aspen Hospitality Launches Nell Hotels, With a New York Debut and Little Nell Aspen Renovation on the Horizon

 

Aspen Hospitality, a division of Aspen One, has introduced Nell Hotels, a new luxury brand built on the foundation of The Little Nell in Aspen. The launch brings together three properties:

• The Little Nell itself, Aspen’s only Five-Star, Five-Diamond ski-in/ski-out hotel
• The Residences at The Little Nell
• And the new-to-open The Nell New York in Midtown Manhattan

The Nell New York

Set to open in fall 2027, The Nell New York will be the first and only hotel within Rockefeller Center, occupying 10 Rockefeller Plaza as part of a project exceeding $350 million. The 134-room hotel will be the only Relais & Châteaux property in New York City, with a seventh-floor arrival experience designed to lift you above the pace of the city, creating a sense of discretion and calm within one of the world’s most visited landmarks. Home to the Christmas Tree, the skating rink, Top of the Rock, and the Rainbow Room. Amenities will include all-day dining, a lobby bar, a wine lounge, a spa, and a signature restaurant on the 17th floor overlooking Rockefeller Center. Design will draw on the Art Deco character of the surrounding buildings, and, in keeping with The Little Nell’s tradition, the hotel will feature a curated art collection of emerging and established artists.

The Little Nell’s Renovation

The Aspen hotel will close in April 2027 for a comprehensive renovation of its guestrooms, public spaces, and restaurants, and will reopen for the 2027-2028 ski season. The Residences will stay open, offering full kitchens, private balconies, ski concierge service, and rooftop pool access. Until the closure, the hotel remains fully operational, including its spa residency with celebrity facialist Georgia Louise, now extended through next winter.
