Travelers passing through Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) can look forward to a more refined layover in 2026, thanks to American Express. The company has announced plans to open a brand-new Centurion Lounge at Schiphol, marking the airport’s first-ever credit card–branded lounge.
Schiphol, Europe’s fourth-busiest airport, will join a growing global network of Centurion Lounges—currently 29 and counting—with new locations also coming to Tokyo Haneda, Salt Lake City, and Newark.
Access won’t be open to everyone: only select American Express cardholders, including those with the Platinum, Delta SkyMiles Reserve, or Centurion card, will be able to step inside. The new lounge will be situated between Concourses E and F, offering a premium escape in one of Europe’s busiest transit hubs.
“With a large number of American Express Card Members traveling through Schiphol each year, the new Centurion Lounge will be an important addition to our growing global Centurion Lounge Network,” said Audrey Hendley, president of American Express Travel. “We know travelers are looking for authentic, local experiences when they travel, and the new Centurion Lounge will deliver a premium experience and amenities with a taste of Dutch history and culture.”
