The much-awaited five-night beach staycation we took in late April 2021, exceeded our expectations. Strandhotel successfully delivers a luxurious experience for families as well as couples.

Its thoughtful hospitality, impressive features and stunning location make you never want to leave.

Our typical day at Strandhotel started with a refreshing early-morning walk along the beach, afterwards swimming laps in the indoor pool, followed by a sumptuous breakfast from Pine House.

Design Accommodations

You’ll find luxury and design at its finest with the recently renovated rooms and suites by Studio Piet Boon. As we were travelling with our two teenage daughters, we’ve booked the royally -sized Family Suite Landview.

This beautiful Suite is enormously spacious and offers up to 65 square meters divided into two separate bedrooms with Auping boxsprings, two balconies, two bathrooms filled with Marie-Stella-Maris products, a living & dining area as well as views on the vibrant Boulevard de Wielingen.

Plan ahead!: The majority of the rooms & suites are suited for 2 persons, so plan well in advance to make sure that the few family suites or connecting rooms are still available.

Other options for families: Family Room Landview (for 3 persons) or connecting Rooms where the Superior Seaview is coupled with the Comfort Seaview.

Beach Pavilions & Clubs

In the beach backyard of the hotel, you’ll find endless beach pavilions. Starting with De Piraat, Caricole, Moio, Ruig and Dok 14.

MUST-DO: Cadzand-Bad is the shark teeth destination! So bring some handy tools such as a trowel or shovel and a colander or strainer for sifting the sand.

And above all, be patient!

Bicycle Ride along the Coast

We embraced nature and fell in love with our surroundings while riding our rented e-bikes. Enjoying our glorious vistas of the dunes, sea and lots of Beach Pavilions, before we knew it, we arrived in Breskens.

Due to the Corona restrictions, all Beach Pavilions were still closed that day but we could stop by for a delicious coffee to go and enjoy it while sitting on the beach. One of our stops was at PUUR Beach Club. An impressive Beach Pavilion in Groede.

TIP: reserve your e-bike or any other type of bicycle at Neptunus, across the Strandhotel.

Culinary by Sergio Herman

We can’t wait to re-visit Strandhotel once the restaurants open their doors again. Our next stay as a couple will be one filled with culinary indulgence at Pure C, AIRrepublic and Blueness.

The renowned Michelin-starred Chef Sergio Herman heads the in-house Pure C (2 Michelin stars) and AIRrepublic (1 Michelin star).

Other culinary options are Pine House for breakfast, where you’ll be treated to one of the most delicious bread I’ve ever tasted, made by its own Bakery and the Vlaamsch Broodhuys. On top of that, Blueness, a Japanese-inspired restaurant and bar.

Capture heartwarming and joyful family moments at the luxury beach & lifestyle Strandhotel. From the beach to the indoor swimming pool, Strandhotel has endless opportunities that will engage and energize your entire family.
