DAY 3 YELLOWSTONE PARK

This morning, transfer to Sage Lodge, your luxurious base for exploring Yellowstone National Park. Your naturalist driver-guide will meet you at the hotel and lead a full-day sightseeing excursion through the heart of the park, showcasing its remarkable geothermal features and abundant wildlife.

Be sure to dress in layers and wear sturdy footwear, and bring sun protection and a reusable water bottle. Yellowstone’s weather can be unpredictable, but your guide will provide a light breakfast and boxed lunch for enjoyment during the day.

Spot bison, elk, bears, and wolves as your guide shares in-depth insight tailored to your interests. Depending on your preferences, the day may include wildlife viewing, short hikes, or off-the-beaten-path exploration. Highlights include Norris Geyser Basin, the park’s hottest and most dynamic thermal area; the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone with its vibrant canyon walls and waterfalls; Hayden Valley, home to bison, coyotes, grizzly bears, and wolves; and Mud Volcano, a fascinating area of bubbling mud pots and fumaroles.

DAY 4 PARADISE VALLEY

DAY 5 YELLOWSTONE TO MOAB

This morning, fly to Moab, Utah, and enjoy a private transfer to ULUM Moab, an upscale desert retreat set in a secluded landscape near Looking Glass Arch with sweeping views toward Canyonlands. Settle into your safari-inspired suite tent and take in the dramatic red rock scenery from your private deck.

In the evening, join your guide for a sunset horseback ride to a scenic canyon overlook, which serves as the backdrop for tonight’s dinner. Delight in a gourmet cowboy barbecue complete with gingham tablecloths and live country music performed by singing cowboys.

Begin high atop the Island in the Sky mesa and descend the dramatic switchbacks of the Shafer Trail, taking in sweeping views of the Colorado River and surrounding canyons. Discover remnants of Ancestral Puebloan culture, including ancient rock art, before continuing into Arches National Park.

Enjoy a deli-style lunch, then embark on a backcountry tour through Arches, climbing short rock walls, crossing open valleys, and walking among sandstone fins and dunes. Iconic formations such as the Marching Men, Tower Arch, and the Eye of the Whale punctuate the landscape. At day’s end, return to ULUM Moab for an evening at leisure beneath star-filled desert skies.
